Today I’m ging to shed some light on common mistakes made while trying to lose weight. We are bound to make mistakes. Now let’s take a moment and learn from the same. Read on to find out.
- Not being consistent/No patience
All good things take time and the more patience you have the better and long lasting the results will be. Don’t expect to lose drastic amounts of weight in a short period of time. That’s how people get wrinkles, stretch marks and haper their immunity. Be patient and give your body time. Think about the amount of time your body has taken to gain the weight, it didn’t happen overnight. So even fat loss won’t happen overnight.
- Exercising to lose weight
Exercising is good for you but when you do it in hope to lose weight, you’re entering a vicious cycle. You focus on calories burnt and not the strength gained. You don’t see the other benefits of exercising, for eg: improved mental health, you just measure your success on the scale. Exercise daily but to gain strength, to become fitter, for mental health, or just because you enjoy it. When you have this attitude, results will follow.
- Not prioritizing GUT health
One of the lost underrated and ignored facts is people don’t focus on gut health. Your gut is a very important organ and half of your problems might get resolved if you have a healthy and well functioning gut.
- Not eating enough protein
This is simple, everyone might know this, but most don’t follow it. Including protein in every meal is very important, whether you’re on a fat loss journey or not.
- Comparing their progress to others
Your body is unique so why compare it to others? Comparison is the thief of joy. Don’t do it.
- Following unsustainable fat-loss methods
Fad diets and short-term goals are some examples of unsustainable methods to lose weight/ fat and will ensure that you gain all the weight back soon.
